Job summary

Kids Dental Brands in Southaven, MS, is seeking a full-time Orthodontic Assistant at Smile Straight Orthodontics. Join a kid-friendly, modern practice focused on comfort and advanced technology. You will support the orthodontist chair-side, assist with molds, braces components, and imaging.

No prior experience required, but a Dental Assistant certification is essential; an X-ray license is a plus. Benefits and on-site schedule are provided.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA or RDA) is required.
• X-ray certification is a plus.
• No prior experience required with a valid Dental Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with Orthodontist, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Preparing and taking patient molds
• Changing out rubber bands, wires, and brackets
• Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary:Starting at $17+depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay:up to $300additional per month
• Schedule:On-site. Monday - Friday
