Job summary

Kids Dental Brands’ Smile Straight Orthodontics in Midland is hiring a full-time Orthodontic Assistant. You will work chair-side with the orthodontist, perform patient care, take molds, apply and adjust braces, and help with radiographs.

• Minimum 2 years of orthodontic assisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with Orthodontist, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties.
• Preparing and taking patient molds.
• Changing out rubber bands, wires, and brackets.
• Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

At a Glance

Compensation and Schedule

• Starting Pay: $20+ per hour, based on experience + a onetime sign-on bonus of $500
• Monthly Bonus Pay: up to $300 additional per month
• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Day shifts only, no nights or weekends, with shorter workdays on Fridays
