Job summary

Kids Dental Brands is hiring a Dental Assistant for our Gulfport, MS office. This full-time role supports dentists chair-side, takes x‑rays, prepares instruments, and helps with impressions and fillings in a kid-friendly environment.

Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA or RDA) is required; X-ray cert and nitrous/ sealant experience are a plus. No prior experience is necessary beyond the required certification.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA or RDA) is required.
• No prior experience required but a Dental Assistant certification is needed.
• Strong patient care and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists and assist with patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of the patient's teeth and assist with procedures such as extractions and fillings.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
• Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary:Starting at $13.00depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay:up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule:On-site. Monday - Friday
