Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a positive, professional Orthodontic Assistant to join our Risas Family. You will educate and communicate with patients about treatments while using state-of-the-art technology to deliver exceptional care and experience.

This role involves hands-on work with doctors, supporting various dental specialties and contributing to a fun, fast-paced environment that emphasizes growth, development, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English required to communicate with patients and team.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Dental assisting certification is preferred.
• X-ray certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire is required.
• Coronal polish certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors in all dental procedures and orthodontic treatments.
• Sterilize, disinfect, and prepare instruments and equipment for patient treatment.
• Check patient dental appliances prior to adjustment and remove if necessary.
• Assist with bonding, banding, debonding, and coronal polishing procedures.
• Assist in adjustments including wire changes, separator placement, and bite stops.
• Complete X-rays and intra-oral pictures efficiently.
• Educate patients on general oral healthcare as directed by the doctor.
• Present treatment plans to patients based on doctor recommendations.
• Record patient charting and notes in the digital chart as directed.
• Maintain inventory and supplies; ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assistdoctors in all dental procedures andorthotreatments

• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, andRisaspolicies and practices)

Qualifications

• 1-2years' experienceas an Orthodontic Assistantpreferred
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must have asuperior knowledge of dental clinical operationsandterminology
• Ability toanticipatethe needs of the doctor andpatients
• Must haveawarmfriendly, outgoing personality and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment and lendsupport, as a team player,to teammatesas needed.
