Carle Health is hiring an LPN for the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit. This 41-bed unit specializes in acute ortho and urology care, with a 1:4-6 nurse-to-patient ratio and collaborative therapy support. A sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants committed to 2 years.

The role involves med administration, patient monitoring, and collaboration with RNs and physicians in a fast-paced, trauma-centered environment. Grow your skills in hip/knee replacement care and post-op recovery.

Qualifications

• LPN license required and active in the applicable state.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in acute care or surgical units is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer meds, IV piggybacks, and fluids as ordered.
• Document assessments and care plans with RN supervision.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs for orders and assist with procedures as needed.
