Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced LPN for the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit. The unit has 41 beds and a patient population focused on acute ortho and urology post-ops. A sign-on bonus is available for external applicants with a 1–2 year commitment.

As a valued team member, you will administer medications, monitor patients, assist with IV therapies, dressings, and care plans under RN guidance. The environment emphasizes collaboration with therapists and 24/7 resources including educators

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications, hangs IV piggybacks and fluids.
• Charts assessments on assigned patients and care plans.
• Communicates with physicians/APPs to receive orders and coordinate care.
• Complete trach care and NG tube care as needed.
• Reinforce patient education and discharge instructions.
• Support hip and knee replacement program requirements as applicable.
