Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit. The 41-bed unit delivers care to acute ortho and urology surgical patients with a strong emphasis on teamwork, patient safety, and efficient throughput.

Responsibilities include medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, NG tube care, and collaboration with RNs and physicians. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants committing to 1–2 years.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license to practice in the state.
• BLS certification within 30 days or as required.
• Experience on an ortho-urology or surgical unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications and IV piggybacks.
• Chart assessments and participate in care planning.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs for orders and dressing changes.
• Insert/care for NG tube and enteral feeding.
• Reinforce education and discharge instructions.
