Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience with surgery scheduling.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to perform essential duties as assigned.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, equipment, procedures, instruments and common safety hazards and precautions.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients to exam rooms and document accurately.
• Identify patient chief complaint and prepare for doctor visits.
• Schedule surgeries, physical therapy, and order tests.
• Coordinate with hospitals and surgery centers for bookings.
• Obtain medical clearances and verify medications.
• Secure prior authorizations for upcoming surgeries.
• Handle patient calls, prescriptions and education of procedures.
