University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Surgery Scheduler for the Orthopedics division in the Broomfield/Longmont area. The role focuses on scheduling outpatient visits and procedures, serving as a liaison between patients and providers, and coordinating pre-procedure instructions and authorizations.

The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience with Epic scheduling, and the ability to work onsite with travel to assigned locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of experience in patient registration and insurance processes.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• MS Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient visits and complete data entry in Epic.
• Determine if insurance pre-authorization is needed and mail information packets.
• Obtain referrals and authorizations for clinic encounters, procedures, and surgeries.
• Preauthorize procedures and surgeries.
• Triage new patient referrals (fax and phone) and email new patient information.
