Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company seeks an experienced Surgical Scheduler to support an orthopedic surgeon. The role involves coordinating procedures, scheduling pre- and post-op visits, and communicating with patients and staff to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include obtaining medical clearances and authorizations, generating cost estimates, and maintaining timely documentation while upholding HIPAA confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No certification/licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule procedures or surgeries, pre and post op appointments as designated by physicians.
• Interact with patients, physicians and other staff, providing timely and responsive information.
• Coordinate processes and route all paperwork to meet physician and facility requirements.
• Initiate and track medical clearances as required by physician or extender.
• Initiate authorization for procedures, surgeries, ancillary services or medical supplies.
• Obtain financial estimate for procedures, surgeries, ancillary services and medical supplies.
• Complete all tasks and orders in a timely manner.
• Scan internal documents accurately into patients' medical records.
• Demonstrate courteous and helpfulness toward patients and families.
• Display flexibility in work schedule depending on clinic needs.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA; other duties as assigned.
