Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics in Glen Mills, PA is seeking a dedicated Surgery Scheduler I to coordinate office and hospital-based procedures, arrange anesthesia, and manage communications with PCPs, device reps, and surgical staff.

You will verify insurance pre-certifications, document informed consent, educate patients, and ensure all steps are completed before surgery. 2+ years scheduling experience and EMR familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical office scheduling or hospital-based scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of insurance rules and medical terminology.
• Experience with EMR systems (Allscripts Pro Suite preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule office and hospital-based procedures using proper scheduling codes.
• Coordinate with PCP offices, vendors, and surgical staff for each case.
• Enter notes and update EMR with scheduling details and instructions.
• Contact patients to schedule, arrange pre-op and post-op appointments, and obtain clearances.
• Verify insurance, obtain or relay need for prior authorization, and confirm consent.
