Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NT4 orthopedic unit. The role includes managing nurse-driven care plans, wound care, mobility training and patient education to support complex joint replacement patients.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants with >1 year of RN experience and a commitment to 3 years, on a 41-bed unit with advanced certification for hip and knee replacements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification within 30 days.
• 1+ year of RN experience.
• Orthopedic unit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit-specific nursing duties and maintain care plans.
• Document care accurately for the care team.
• Complete initial assessment and develop care plans.
• Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care and medication management.
• Coordinate with physicians and supervise HCT staff.
• Monitor safety and participate in annual education as required.
