Job summary

Carle Health in Indianapolis seeks an experienced registered nurse to join the NT4 41-bed unit, supporting a range of patient experiences from joint replacements to complex trauma. NT4 carries Advanced Certification for Hip and Knee Replacements and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants with >1 year of experience.

The role includes comprehensive nursing duties, initial assessments, care planning, patient education, and close coordination with physicians and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• RN license and BLS certified.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma.
• Experience with ortho/trauma patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs unit-specific nursing duties.
• Implements care plans based on patient needs.
• Maintains accurate nursing documentation.
• Conducts initial patient assessments and develops care plans.
• Educates patients on wound care, mobility and self-care.
• Coordinates with physicians and surgeons on patient care.
• Delegates tasks to HCT staff.
• Set up and manage ortho traction and wound care devices.
