Job summary

Carle Health's North Tower 4 unit seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to support a 41-bed orthopedic/trauma unit with hip/knee replacements and related surgeries.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with physicians to optimize outcomes. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants with >1 year RN experience and a 3-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Education: Nursing Diploma; Associate’s Degree
• Work Experience: RN>1yr

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and plans of care; maintains documentation of nursing care.
• Educates patients on wound care, mobility, self-care and discharge needs; coordinates with physicians and Surgeons.
