Qualifications

• Current RN license and eligibility for licensure in the applicable state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for the healthcare team.
• Assesses patients on admission and develops care plans.
• Delivers plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Communicates to resolve issues and supports professional development of peers.
• Educates patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, and discharge needs.
• Collaborates with physicians and surgeons to coordinate patient care.
