Job summary

Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the Med Surg Ortho-Trauma Unit. You will provide routine patient care and support a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 trauma academic facility.

The role spans day and night shifts, offers self-scheduling, and includes an 18% night differential plus weekend differential. CNA/LNA bonuses and Magnet-recognized care culture highlight this opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA license in state of practice required.
• Current BLS certification required for all hires.
• 1 year of medical clerical or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient health.
• Collect data including vital signs and input/output as directed.
• Report abnormalities to licensed professionals promptly.
• Assist with procedures and use equipment under supervision.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintain patient records and ensure charting accuracy.
• Manage supplies and assist with transport and OR turnover.
• Support unit operations and communicate with the care team.
• Uphold Banner Health service standards and patient care quality.
