Heartland Dental is seeking an Experienced Ortho Business Assistant to support a busy orthodontic office. The role focuses on welcoming patients, answering phones, and handling front office tasks, including scheduling and coordination with multiple providers.

You will use Dentrix for records, file insurance claims, verify benefits, and explain coverage to patients. A collaborative environment emphasizes accuracy, PHI protection, and great patient service.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• The position requires HIPAA training and safeguarding PHI.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: answer phones, mail, emails, and communications with patients and insurers.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records, and schedule multiple providers.
• Process insurance claims, verify benefits, and explain coverage to patients.
• Post payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Review treatment fees and payment options with patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential.
