Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our orthopedic frontline team. The role involves greeting patients, collecting co-pays, scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals, and supporting clerical duties to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The Medical Receptionist float will report to a 3-4 site region on the east side, with schedules built 2-3 months in advance. Strong computer skills and excellent communication are essential, with potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 6 months related experience.
• Accurate computer/keyboard skills required.
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles for patient safety.
• Proficiency with telephone, headset, PC, printer, copier and fax machine.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients at check-in and acknowledge their needs.
• Collect co-pays and assist with billing processes.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals.
• Support departmental clerical duties to maintain smooth operations.
