Specialized Assessment & Consulting in Buna, TX is seeking a part-time Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS/O&M) to serve students with visual impairments across multiple campuses. You will provide services, attend ARD meetings, and consult with school staff.

Caseload includes two students on therapy and evaluations as needed for grades K-8. Position is in-person at Buna campuses with competitive compensation and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certification from ACVREP is required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a COMS in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide COMS services to qualifying students with visual impairments.

This job is in person at a school on multiple campuses in Buna, TX (77612). There are 2 students on the caseload for therapy services and evaluations as needed for grades K-8.

Qualifications for O&M Specialist / COMS positions

• Certification from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• A minimum of 2 years experience as a Certified O&M Specialist / COMS in a school setting
