Sunbelt Staffing in Savannah, GA is seeking an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to support students from 2nd grade through high school onsite. You will craft tailored O&M instruction, travel between district schools, and align with each student's IEP goals to foster independence.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IEP teams, families, and staff, with a flexible schedule designed around student needs and educational settings.

Competenze

• Current COMS certification through AVCREP.
• Valid GaPSC teaching certificate.
• Experience with visually impaired students across multiple grade levels.
• Able to travel between multiple school sites within the district.
• Strong communication and collaboration with IEP teams, families, and staff.

Make a meaningful impact as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist, supporting students with visual impairments across various grade levels in a vibrant educational setting. This onsite contract position provides the unique opportunity to serve students from 2nd grade through high school, crafting tailored instruction to help them gain independence and confidence in their daily environments. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current COMS certification through AVCREP
• Hold a valid GaPSC teaching certificate
• Proven experience working with students who are visually impaired, ideally across multiple grade levels
• Adaptable and resourceful, able to move efficiently between different school sites
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly for working closely with IEP teams, families, and staff
