Job summary

Specialized Assessment & Consulting seeks a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS / O&M Specialist) for a part-time, in-person role at a Houston area school. The position is hybrid: therapy and evaluations occur in person, with some reports home-based.

Caseload is 1–2 days direct services per month plus one monthly consultation with staff. Rate starts at $45/hr with benefits including insurance, CEU membership, development reimbursements, travel stipends, and a strong mentorship

Qualifications

• Certification from ACVREP
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a COMS in a school setting

Responsibilities

• Attend ARD meetings and consult with school staff
• Provide orientation and mobility services per caseload
• Complete evaluations and in-person therapy with a hybrid work model
