Qualifications

• ACVREP certification required.

• Minimum 2 years experience as a COMS in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide O&M services to students with visual impairments and complete evaluations.

Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS / O&M Specialist) job for a part time position providing services to qualifying students with visual impairments, completing evaluations, attending ARD meetings, and consulting with school staff.

This job is in person on multiple campuses in Magnolia, TX (77355). There are 17 students on the caseload at multiple grade levels. This position is 2 days per week and begins in August.

Qualifications for O&M Specialist / COMS positions

• Certification from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• A minimum of 2 years experience as a Certified O&M Specialist / COMS in a school setting
