Job summary

Specialized Assessment & Consulting in Magnolia, TX is seeking a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS/O&M) for a part-time position to serve students with visual impairments. You will complete evaluations, attend ARD meetings, and consult with school staff.

The role begins in August, on-campus at multiple Magnolia campuses with a 17-student caseload. Compensation starts at $45 per hour, with benefits including professional liability insurance, access to test kits, and travel

Qualifications

• ACVREP certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a COMS in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation and mobility services to students with visual impairments.
• Complete evaluations and documentation.
• Attend ARD meetings and participate in team discussions.
• Consult with school staff to support student progress.

This job is in personon multiple campuses in Magnolia, TX (77355). There are 17 students on the caseload at multiple grade levels. This position is 2 days per week and begins in August.

O&M Specialist rates start at $45/hr

• Certification from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• A minimum of 2 years experience as a CertifiedO&M Specialist / COMS in a school setting
