Job summary

Gift of Life Michigan is seeking a Triage Coordinator to oversee dispatch activity and referral management within the Donation Logistics Department. You will determine timing and resource allocation during case investigations and ensure referral timeliness standards are met.

The role requires healthcare training with OPO experience and strong organizational and communication skills to document in the EMR and engage families and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse, paramedic, or other healthcare training with at least 18 months of Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) experience.
• Preferred CPTC Certification.
• Written and verbal fluency in English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee referral case activities and manage referral logistics to approach using the organizational dashboard.
• Coordinate resources and logistics for organ referral activity, including staff utilization and dispatch for timely responses on active referrals.
• Accurately document all required information into Gift of Life's EMR including coding and outcomes.
• Initiate authorization or pause conversation with family and/or hospital staff related to organ donation.
