Job summary

Gift of Life Michigan is seeking a Triage Coordinator to oversee dispatch activity and referral management within the Donation Logistics Department. The TC determines timing and resource allocation during case investigation, and ensures referral timeliness standards are met.

The role requires a registered nurse, paramedic, or other healthcare training with at least 18 months of OPO experience, and CPTC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse, paramedic or other healthcare training with at least 18 months of OPO experience.
• CPTC Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee referral case activities and manage referral logistics to approach using the organizational dashboard.
• Coordinate resources and logistics for organ referral activity, including staff utilization and dispatch, to ensure timely responses on referrals.
• Accurately document all required information into EMR including coding and outcomes.
• Initiate authorization or pause conversation with family and/or hospital staff related to organ donation.
