Job summary

LifeCenter Northwest seeks an Organ Donation Coordinator to evaluate donor referrals, perform medical evaluations, and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize donation options. The role includes coordinating with Organ Recovery Coordinators, overseeing DCD, and handling UDRAI while ensuring compliance with SOPs, CMS, UNOS, and AOPO standards.

You will assist in operating room support for organ perfusion, packaging, labeling, and documentation, and engage with DFA and family conversations

Qualifications

• Requires driving license and access to insured car.
• COVID-19 vaccination proof or valid exemption.
• OPO experience or equivalent background/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ventilated referrals.
• Determine organ donor suitability.
• Conduct family interactions and obtain authorization/disclosure.
• Perform the Uniform Donor Risk Assessment Interview (UDRAI).
• Maintain clinical and regulatory documentation and requirements.
• Coordinate with ME/Coroner.
• Collect blood and ancillary tests.
• Preserve and package organs.
• Support Donation After Circulatory Death (DCD) cases.
• Collaborate with nursing, surgical, and administrative teams.
