LifeCenter Northwest seeks an Organ Donation Coordinator to evaluate donor referrals, perform medical evaluations, and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize donation options. The role includes coordinating with Organ Recovery Coordinators, overseeing DCD, and handling UDRAI while ensuring compliance with SOPs, CMS, UNOS, and AOPO standards.
You will assist in operating room support for organ perfusion, packaging, labeling, and documentation, and engage with DFA and family conversations
The Organ Donation Coordinator (ODC) supports the mission, goals, and strategic plan of LifeCenter Northwest by evaluating organ donor referrals, conducting medical evaluations on potential organ donors, and developing plans with the healthcare team to maintain donation options. The ODC collaborates with Organ Recovery Coordinators, oversees the Donation After Circulatory Arrest (DCD) process, communicates and documents Medical Examiner or Coroner conversations, and works closely with Donation and Family Advocates (DFA) to conduct compassionate family conversations and the Uniform Donor Risk Assessment Interview (UDRAI). The ODC also supports operations in the operating room by performing organ perfusion, packaging, and labeling recovered organs, all in accordance with LifeCenter Northwest SOPs, CMS regulations, UNOS policy, and AOPO standards.
Pay range:
Additional compensation may include Extra Call Pay, Extra Call Worked, Overnight Differential, Holiday Stipend Pay, and a preceptor bonus.
