Job summary

Donor Network West in California is seeking a Clinical Procurement Coordinator I to respond to donor referrals, evaluate suitability, and manage donor care from referral to recovery. The role collaborates with hospitals, coroners, and DNWest teams to ensure ethical, timely organ and tissue donation.

The CPC I supports donor families with compassionate communication, coordinates organ recovery with OR staff, and maintains accurate records. Travel within the DNWest service area is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in nursing or biological sciences.
• 2+ years in critical care or organ procurement preferred.
• ACLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to donor referrals and assesses medical suitability with clinical staff.
• Coordinates organ recovery with OR staff and DNWest teams.
• Supports donor families with compassionate communication and documentation.
• Maintains DNWest records and prepares specimens for testing as needed.
• Travels within the service area to donation sites and hospitals as required.
• Collaborates with hospital staff to manage referrals through DNWest processes.
