Job summary

Vaisala in Boston, MA is seeking an Order Management Specialist to manage customer purchase orders, coordinate with sales, accounting, and shipping, and ensure customer satisfaction with accurate data entry and timely communication.

The role requires a high school diploma with 2-3 years of experience, strong detail orientation, and proficiency in MS Office. This is a hybrid position with 3 days in-office, offering a salary range and performance bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2-3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking.
• Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Must be flexible, self-motivated, have a take charge attitude and prioritize tasks from a variety of supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Support sales teams to meet sales targets quarterly and yearly including entry of sales orders, tracking customer deliveries, and other duties as required to support the sales.
• Work with Sales, Accounting, Shipping and other departments internally to solve Customer issues
• Assisting in customer orders and general information.
• Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers.
• Emphasize salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
• Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company production and delivery schedules.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
• Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems.
• Collections of bad debt with customers
