Job summary

Brenntag is seeking a Customer Service Representative to ensure a positive customer experience through timely communication and accurate order processing across the full order lifecycle. You will handle order intake, changes, and liaison with sales and logistics to meet delivery commitments.

The role emphasizes problem solving, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with potential after-hours work. Prior experience in chemical distribution is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Customer Service or similar discipline.
• Chemical Distribution or Manufacturing is a plus.
• Must solve problems, work independently, and demonstrate listening, speaking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for collaboration.
• Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with heavy workload and multitasking.
• Dedication to teamwork, customer satisfaction, and results.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime, on-call hours, or after hours.

Responsibilities

• Process orders accurately and confirm via phone, email or EDI.
• Verify shipping, billing, pricing, and purchase order information.
• Enter special instructions, and update customer files with quotes and delivery notes.
• Coordinate with sales staff and field teams to support order fulfillment.
• Audit orders for pricing, quantity, terms, ETA and carrier details.
• Resolve customer complaints and process returns per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory expectations.
