Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the main point of contact for our local and regional grocery store, food processor and distributor customers. You will answer inquiries, process orders (50–100 daily) in the AS400 system, and investigate issues to reach timely resolutions.

You will build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, coordinate pricing, delivery details, and promotions, and strive to deliver exceptional service from our York, PA office

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years customer service experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
• Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving abilities
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
• Familiarity with AS400 preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls, emails and EDI tickets to determine action
• Ensure fast, accurate order processing for excellent service
• Provide pricing and delivery information and process orders
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve inquiries
• Serve as liaison between customers and sales
• Make outbound calls to update clients on promotions and new orders
• Assist customers in selecting products to meet needs
• Use systems to check pricing, availability and alternatives
• Enter orders and resolve pricing issues per sales policy
• Help resolve shipping discrepancies and obtain proof of deliveries
• Enter sample orders and follow up on performance
• Learn systems and assist with data entry and inventory control
