Bunzl is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our York, PA office. You will handle inbound inquiries and process 50-100 daily orders via AS400, while resolving order and delivery issues and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

The role is day shift, Monday–Friday, with occasional 1–2 days per month of remote work. Prior AS400 experience and strong MS Office skills are preferred.

• Familiarity AS400 preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide pricing and delivery information and process orders.
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments to resolve inquiries.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and the sales department.
• Make outbound calls as needed to update clients on promotions, new products, and secure orders.
• Assist customers in selecting products to meet their needs.
• Use computer systems to assist with pricing, availability, and alternative product selection.
• Receive orders and resolve pricing issues using current sales policies.
• Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and obtain proof of deliveries from carriers.

Description

As a Customer Service Representative, you are a key level of support for our local and regional grocery store, food processor and distributor customers. A large portion of your day will be spent answering customer inquiries and entering & processing orders (50-100 daily) via the AS400 system. In addition to order support, you will investigate customer order and delivery problems and/or complaints to successful resolution. To be most successful in this investigative work, you will need to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role will be day shift, M-F in our York, PA office. There may be some flexibly to work from home 1-2 days/month.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of in-bound calls, emails and EDI tickets to determine the appropriate course of action
• Ensure delivery of excellent customer services through fast and accurate processing of orders
• Provide pricing and delivery information and processes orders
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments to resolve inquiries
• Serve as a liaison between customers and the sales department
• Make out-bound calls as needed to keep clients updated regarding promotions, new products, and attempt to secure new orders
• Assist customers in the selection of products according to their needs/requirements
• Utilize computer systems to assist with pricing, availability and alternate product selection
• Receive orders and resolves pricing situations encountered during customer transactions using current sales policies
• Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and errors. This includes obtaining proof of deliveries from the freight carrier and pulling necessary internal documents. Submit credit requests
• Enter sample orders, and follow up with the customer regarding the performance of the sample and obtain an order (if possible)
• Learn about our systems and help in data entry and some inventory control functions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• College Degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years customer service experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and proactive problem-solving abilities
• Multi-task oriented
• Customer centric attitude
• Strong user level computer skills in a MS Windows environment: Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word & TEAMs
• Familiarity AS400 preferred
