Allied OMS in Elkhart, IN seeks a Surgical Assistant to support oral surgeons throughout the surgical process, including room prep, instrument handling, X-ray taking, and patient education. You will ensure sterile environments and assist with exams and post-operative instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental fields or oral surgery is preferred, but training is possible for the right candidate.
• CPR certification is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Experience with data management software and documenting patient EMRs is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist the oral surgeon during procedures such as extractions, implant placements, and other surgeries.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms with instruments, equipment, and sterile fields.
• Take and develop X-rays as needed.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Support scheduling, sterilization, and other office tasks as required.
