Job summary

Four Rivers Community Health Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists with patient care in a busy clinical setting. You will prepare patients for treatment, assist in preventative, restorative and oral surgery procedures, prepare materials and equipment, take x‑rays and assist with laboratory work.

Greet patients, keep them comfortable, maintain infection control by sterilizing instruments, set up trays and assist the dentist during procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of dental health education subjects.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them to the work area.
• Prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist during procedures.
• Take radiographs and assist with laboratory work.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control.
• Assist with appointments, ordering supplies, and dental billing.
