Job summary

CompleteCare is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist in the operatory, maintain instruments and supplies, and assist in teaching students and new staff. The role requires standing for long periods, completing logs, and ensuring safety and infection control in a busy clinic environment.

Responsibilities include patient greeting, record review, vital signs, radiographs, operatory prep, four‑hand dentistry, and post‑op instructions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate from an approved dental assisting program.
• Licensed x-ray registration with DEP is required (x-ray tech).
• CPR certification required.
• Bilingual Spanish desired.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts to dental treatment area.
• Reviews dental records, next procedure, X-rays and medical history.
• Takes and records vital signs and dental radiographs.
• Prepares operatory and instruments for procedures and explains steps to patient.
• Maintains sterilization, autoclaving, and instrument logs.
• Provides four‑hand dentistry and assistance during procedures.
• Provides patient post‑op instructions and maintains supply inventory.
