RegEd is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to provide operational and application database services across on-premise and cloud environments. You will own database incidents, monitor health, backups, security, and performance, while collaborating with Architecture, QA, and Infrastructure teams to deliver reliable data services.

The role emphasizes self-direction, time management across multiple projects, and ongoing improvement of database systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in database administration, development, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills, including complex queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and high availability/recovery concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud database services in Azure (SQL MI, SQL DB, or SQL on VMs).
• Experience with database security administration (logins, roles, access controls).
• Ability to write SQL scripts, indexes, and complex queries for data analysis.

Responsabilités

• Own, track, and resolve database incidents and requests.
• Monitor and maintain database health through backups and maintenance jobs.
• Support performance and security requirements across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Design, create, and maintain database objects (indexes, views, stored procedures).
• Participate in incident investigation and resolution of deadlocks and performance issues.
• Refresh development and test databases to support QA and development teams.
• Support deployment of database changes and coding standards with Architecture team.
