RegEd is hiring a Database Administrator (DBA) to provide operational and application database services. You will own incidents, monitoring, backups, security, and performance for on-premise and cloud environments, collaborating with Architecture and other teams.

The role emphasizes self-direction, time management, and continual improvements to efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across projects and processes.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher experience.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, transaction management, error handling, and dynamic SQL.
• Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and high availability/disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience with cloud database services in Azure (Azure SQL MI/DB/VM).
• Database security administration including user management and access controls.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL scripts and queries for data analysis and operational use.
• Understanding of OLTP database principles and performance considerations.
• Familiarity with monitoring/dashboard tools like SSMS, Grafana, or similar.
• Experience with SSIS or other ETL tooling and SSRS or reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Related field education acceptable in lieu of strict degree requirement

Responsabilidades

• Own database incidents, requests, backups, maintenance, and security tasks.
• Monitor and maintain database health and performance.
• Manage backups, recoveries, and restore tests.
• Implement changes and code deployments with Architecture team guidance.
• Collaborate with QA, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Design and maintain database objects (indexes, views, procedures).
• Refresh development/test environments to support QA and development.
• Support monitoring infrastructure for operational visibility.
• Estimate effort for new or revised database systems.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance requirements.
