Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required.
• ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 1 year experience (surgical setting preferred). 3 years preferred.
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty areas (Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum 1 year of OR Tech experience is required.

Responsibilities

• The Operating Room Tech prepares sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure and maintains a sterile field during the case.
• Provides surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
