Job summary

Jersey City Medical Center is seeking an OR Tech I to join the Operating Room team on the day shift. The role supports surgeons and RNs, delivering patient care before, during, and after procedures in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires 2–3 years of experience, a surgical technician program, NBSTSA certification, and BLS. Strong scrubbing skills across robotics, vascular, orthopedics and trauma are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician training program.
• 2–3 years of surgical tech experience.
• Experience scrubbing robotics, vascular, endovascular and neurovascular cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical cases under the direction of the RN and surgeon.
• Prepare and maintain sterile technique before, during, and after surgery.
• Support multiple service lines including robotics, vascular and orthopedics.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
