Job summary

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, ORT training or on-the-job training with at least 1 year of experience, and current BLS certification. Prior scrubbing experience in various surgical areas is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 1 year experience.
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas (e.g., Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and must maintain it.
• Minimum 1 year of OR Tech experience is required.

Responsibilities

• The Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
• Maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
