Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Operating Room Tech to join a busy surgery team in Newark/Denville/Dover, NJ.

You will assist with sterile supplies, maintain sterile field, and provide instruments to surgeons during procedures. A high school diploma and ORT training or equivalent experience are required, with BLS certification preferred.

This is a full-time, day-shift position offering opportunities with Premiere's network of hospital partners nationwide.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required or related experience.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with 1+ year experience.
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in surgical areas preferred.
• Current BLS certificate on hire and maintained.
• Minimum 1 year OR Tech experience required.

Pay: up to $1,143.60 to $1,585.20 gross pay per week

Responsibilities

The Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 1 years’ experience (surgical setting preferred). 3 years preferred.
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.).
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum 1 year of OR Tech expereince is required.

Pay Transparency

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $28.59 to $39.63. This compensation estimate is specific to California and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
