Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast in Langhorne, PA seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to support intraoperative care and maintain the sterile field. The CST collaborates with the surgical team for preoperative, intraoperative, and post-operative activities and assists in decontamination and sterile supply areas, while precepting other team members.

Prerequisites include graduation from a surgical technician program and a Basic Life Support certification; prior CST experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technician training program.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and OR setup.
• Ability to precept others.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field and prepares OR equipment.
• Assists with gowning and gloving of the surgical team.
• Counts sharps, sponges, and instruments with circulating nurse.
• Precepts and mentors junior team members as needed.
• Supports safe, high-quality perioperative care.
