Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast seeks a Certified Surgical Technician (CST/TS-C) to support the intraoperative team in Bucks County. Non-certified welcome to apply; you will assist with sterile field setup, instrument handling, and patient safety throughout pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.

Responsibilities include gowning/gloving, reporting procedure status, maintaining counts, and serving as a preceptor when needed. BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technician training program.
• Prior surgical technician experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile field creation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room: inspect cleanliness, set up instruments and supplies.
• Assist with gowning and gloving of the surgical team.
• Maintain sterile field and educate team on draping.
• Provide thorough procedure reports to relief personnel and ensure smooth transitions.
• Counts of sharps, sponges, and instruments with circulating nurse.
• Serve as a preceptor to other surgical team members as needed.
