Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to support intraoperative care at our Langhorne, PA location. The CST will maintain the sterile field, anticipate surgeon needs, and assist in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative activities while upholding patient safety and high-quality care.

The role requires graduation from a surgical technician program, a high school diploma, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technician training program.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room, secure and prepare equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist with gowning and gloving of the surgical team including the surgeon.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with draping and instrument counts.
• Provide thorough handoff reports to relief personnel to ensure smooth transitions.
• Precept other surgical team members as needed.
