Job summary

Jefferson Health's Honickman Center in Philadelphia is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for a part-time role (20 hours per week). The CST will assist the surgical team across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, maintaining sterile fields and supporting patient safety.

Responsibilities include gowning/gloving, preparing the sterile field, instrument handling, and helping with room turnover.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a surgical technician training program.
• Knowledge of patient safety, communication, and teamwork in a perioperative setting.
• Understanding of sterile technique and OR procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gowning and gloving of surgical team.
• Prepare sterile field and assist with draping and instrument handling.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist in turnover of operating room.
• Provide patient care support and precept other team members as needed.
