Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Surgical Technologist position.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months unless exempt.
• Proficient in all surgical specialties with expertise in at least two.
• Advanced knowledge and skill of aseptic surgical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provides for a clean, safe and efficient area conducive to optimal patient care.
• Assists with a variety of surgical procedures and maintains aseptic technique.
• Sets up the operating room, moves equipment, and ensures sterility.
• Functions as a First or Second Assistant as needed under a surgeon's guidance.
• Transports patients and equipment, and maintains supply carts.
