Advocate Health is seeking a PRN Surgical Technologist to assist with perioperative support in the Surgery Room. The position is part-time and involves sharing responsibilities under RN supervision, focusing on instrument handling, patient safety, and timely case preparation.

Ideal candidates have a Surgical Technology program background and BCLS certification. Certification in a specialty area is preferred, with opportunities to grow and contribute in a collaborative Team Environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy under the direct supervision of the RN.
• Maintains complete, accurate care and manages instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Communicates effectively with the team, coworkers and patients in a professional manner.
• Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Demonstrates cost containment in instruments and inventory.
