Job summary

Surgical Solutions in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an OR/Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This role supports the operating room and sterile processing departments with pre-operative setup, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative turnover.

Responsibilities include instrument management, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and sterilization standards. The position requires flexibility for 24/7 shifts and a commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
CRCST certification preferred; must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
2–5 years of face-to-face customer service experience required.
COVID-19 vaccination is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Provide operating room support and ensure staff needs are anticipated.
Set up pre-operative equipment and verify functionality.
Assist intra-operative staff and manage instrument inventory for sterilization.
Maintain decontamination, inspection, wrapping and sterilization standards for instruments.
Assist with laparoscopic equipment maintenance and repairs coordination.
Keep surgeon preference cards accurate and up-to-date.
Support 24/7 hospital coverage with flexible weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
