Job summary

Surgical Solutions is seeking an OR Support professional in New York, NY. This role supports operating room staff, handles pre-, intra-, and post-operative tasks, and ensures equipment and instruments are ready and compliant with sterility standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 2–5 years of front-facing customer service, and preferably CRCST certification. Availability for 24/7 shifts, including holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification preferred; must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
• 2–5 years of face-to-face customer service experience.
• Strong communication and quick, accurate response skills.
• Availability for 24/7 hospital coverage: weekdays, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set a high standard of performance and support OR staff.
• Confirm video and surgical equipment functionality; arrange monitors per surgeon.
• Verify proper connections and respond to supply needs in the OR.
• Collect and inventory instruments for cleaning and sterilization after cases.
• Maintain decontamination, inspection, wrapping and sterilization of instruments.
• Keep surgeon preference cards current and accurate.
• Provide consistent, professional on-site service; on-call/rotational shifts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
