Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Operating Room Technician to prepare the OR and assist surgeons as a scrub role across diverse procedures. You will work under RN supervision, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety, including infants to adults as required.

The role requires 2 years of OR technologist experience, AHA BLS Healthcare certification, and CST credentialing through NBSTSA. Strong teamwork and fast response in emergencies are essential in this fast-paced OR setting.

Qualifications

• 2 Years experience as an OR Technologist in an acute care surgical setting handling a variety of complex surgical cases.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED
• Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) - NBSTSA - REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Operating Room and assist the surgeon in a scrub role for all types of surgical procedures.
• Assist the RN with patient care under supervision.
• Maintain sterile technique and safety standards in the OR.
• Obtain non-controlled medications from the medication station and support unit safety.
